| Temple of ECK Accra, Ghana |
Soon after the Temple of ECK in Chanhassen, Minnesota U.S.A. was dedicated on October 22, 1990, an application was sent to ECKANKAR for permission to build a home for Eckankar in Ghana. Within the next few years, Eckankar Ghana received permission to build the Temple of ECK Accra. The Lands Commission in Ghana subsequently leased a 1.25 Acres of land for the project with the understanding that a Nursery School would be built as part of the Church Building complex to serve the local community. This condition was accepted both as a blessing and a challenge. The sod cutting ceremony was performed by the President of ECKANKAR, Mr. Peter Skelsky, on Sunday August 15, 1999. The preliminary works of site preparation began the following year 2000.
The Temple of ECK Accra Building Complex consists of the following facilities:
(a) The main building comprises:
• The Nursery school and the Fellowship
Hall on the ground floor
• The Sanctuary or the Auditorium
on the first floor
• Meeting Rooms, Seating Galleries and a
Conference Room on the second floor
(b) A separate two-floor administration block linked to the main building
